carnivals

Yesterday, some of my friends and I went to the state fair. We ate a lot of fun, calorie busting, food, like fried oreos, fried cheesecake, corn dogs, chicken fried bacon, etc. :)

We took the dart rail and a shuttle bus to the fair, and stayed about 8 hours. Michelle Branch also performed last night; she has a lovely voice. The fair was quite beautiful at night, with its bright lights, the smell of food, and a medley of sounds. And though I had fun, I found myself wanting to be somewhere else. I felt bad that I was not able to fully appreciate our activities.

On the way home, we were greeted by a LARGE group of high schoolers boarding the rail. They were both obnoxious and rude, and I couldn't help but feel irritable throughout the ride. Honestly, it's fine to be silly, but there is a time and place in which you should know to be more mature. And also, you can get through a crowd without shoving people. Be polite, or I'll shove back.

Aside from that, I love taking the dart. It'll be great once they expand the rail system further, though I might already be out of Dallas by then. Either way, I'd love to see Dallas develop a more elaborate and accessible public transportation system.

So yes, that's what we should do, have better transportation, and more carnivals. :)
