So far, not much luck.

But that's okay.

I've recently been actively amping up my networking, be it through Facebook, Linkedin, or at work. Hopefully something good will come from my efforts, yes?

I also just got back from the Dallas igda meeting about employment in the game industry. I heard a few interesting things about the hiring process and such, but particularly impactful in my direction. The did however, discuss great points for anyone new to the game industry, what to expect, and what people should polish on. I did however, introduce myself to one of the panelists who happens to work at the company I'm interning at. :)

I messaged Stevo while at work about the event, and we carpooled with his wife to the meeting. OMG, the weather was crazy! Somehow, within 5-10 minutes, the skies got ridiculously gloomy and ominous, the siren went off, and wind and rain were going crazy! We saw trees/branches fall, traffic lights go off, strips of businesses lose power, and etc! Halfway to the meeting, we had to pull over to the closest building because of the chaos. We rushed into a McDonalds... only to realize the magnificent quantity of glass windows >_<. We did, however, situation ourselves right beside the restrooms if need be :).

Anyways, we made it safely to our destination in the end, and safely made it back as well.

All in all, a successful day. :)
