underwear parade? it's a date!

Last Sunday, despite a 40% thunderstorm forecast and a Labor Day crowd, Eric and suited up and went to Schlitterbahn!

I had a terrific time, despite walking around in... well, practically underwear. Swimsuits are funny that way, huh? In fact, while in line for the Master Blaster, a cute Disney crooning little girl made it a point to let me know that my "bra" was really pretty. Silly kids.

Seeing people in swimsuits (and being in one) is a bit daunting, especially when you stand in line exposed to people... for quite a long time. I found myself feeling rather self-conscious, but also appreciating the body types, beauties, and small imperfections around me. Speaking of imperfections, I was rather proud at how well my knees held out, too! Though they did swell a bit and give a little (and crack a little!), I think my mini knee workouts have been a great help in strengthening. I'd like to think that one day I can proudly stand in line for the Dragon's Revenge and not feel the awful urge to sit down with a small group of impatient kids.

The weather was fabulous- a little overcast, but warm, not scorching. And despite it being a weekend, not to mention Labor Day weekend, the lines weren't too bad either. Nice conditions for a date- or what I'd imagine a date to be like (I don't think I've officially gone on one before?). I think I like that idea, you know, the girly idea of getting all dolled up for someone? Well... in this case, I guess it was more like parading in underwear.

People always think me crazy when I say how uncomfortable I am in a swimsuit, but hello---it IS like walking around in your underwear!
