post-Halloween post.

Happy belated Halloween!

Eric and I decided we wanted to dress a little steampunk-ish for Halloween this year. I even prettied up this hat by assembling and attaching gears and also attached some fancy metal keys onto my dress.

It's actually kinda crazy. The gears, clock hands, and keys all came from the scrapbooking section at Michaels. What a great find!

Halloween night, Eric and I got all dolled up for 6th street to met up with Aimee and her boyfriend, Josh.

That's right, a lovely blonde wig! I'm so glad I didn't purchase a super blonde wig! :)

6th street was fun! Lots of costumers and people watching! There were even families checking out costumes from the side lines. Josh's costume was a big hit- lots of people asked for pictures or declared their love!

Aside from the 11 Waldos we spotted (...or decoy Waldos?), Lady Gaga costumes, and popular Mario and Luigi characters, there were lots of sexy pirates, sexy fairy tale characters, and sexy [fill in the blank]. To be honest, I think most of my friends growing up never went that route. I think most of them settled for quirky outfits, clever characters, or something just plain comfy. And my friends are rather pretty, too! Did we somehow miss this awkward trend?

At least there wasn't a sexy Waldo costume...

But you know what's one of the best things? Post-Halloween candy sales!
