the e-mail.

(sent on Thursday)

"Hi Professor _______,

I sent the two string players an e-mail with an mp3 of my piece so that they could get a little idea of what it's supposed to sound like since we never got to rehearse on Monday. However, I have yet to hear back from them (I also asked if they could verify when they receive the message), and the Spring 2009 Arts Festival program doesn't seem to include a cellist anymore... have we lost our cello player?

I won't be able to make it to the impromptu rehearsal tomorrow due to one of my jobs, and I was wondering about how we would do a sound check on the soundscape for Saturday. Is this going to be too troublesome? I'm pretty nervous about how things will pan out on Saturday, be it the musicians, the sound levels, or etc...

I might have missed it, but will we all be dressing in black or have a dress code of some sort? Are we meeting prior to 3:30?

Sorry for all of the questions. There seems to be so much going on this week!

Thank you,
Katherine Hernandez"

(her EXACT reply at 3-something on Saturday, the day of the concert)

"Just show up."
