indigestion.
So after work, my dad called to see if I wanted to eat with them at a Vietnamese restaurant. I sat in my car and weighed the options, but ultimately, my stomach won me over (I missed lunch and was ridiculously hungry at work).Turns out, my sister was having dinner with her boyfriend and his family, so it was just my parents and myself. Bah.
Same old, same old, and we got around to graduation misc. My mom said that they were going to host a party, and I politely turned them down saying that I'd rather just celebrate with family. To that, my dad responded that it may not be important to me, but other people need to know that I've graduated... which is kinda silly, but I suppose a bit understandable. My mom then got aggravated and mentioned that they hosted a party for me at Tokyo One for my high school graduation... to which I responded that all of the attendees were their co-workers, and I had not been allowed to invite friends. I think it became one of those "you're ungrateful" situations, but I still stand by the idea of just celebrating with family instead of random people... yeah... Anyways, it became a bit awkward, and I took a deep breath and continued to devour my food.
After a breather, we discussed my internship at Gearbox. I mentioned to them how I had intentions of applying to companies in Austin after my internship, and then- chaos! Suddenly it became a "well why did you even bother getting the internship?" and things like "you've wasted your time again". So I had to explain what it means to have experience under your belt, and the knowledge I've gained from working, and what I've achieved. Blah blah blah, and such and such.
Likewise, we then started talking about Austin. "You won't find a job, etc. etc." and then (what I had been expecting), "Where will you live? You better not be thinking about living with Eric." A sat for a bit until I responded, "Living with Eric is something I'm considering."
Needless to say, I finished my food way too fast, and now I have indigestion.
Oh, stomach.

Man, you've been posting a lot lately. Poor Kat. I know that all the verbal sharing/talking isn't normally your thing, but I hope it's offering you a chance to vent and feel a bit better...
And OMG invite me to your graduation party! haha maybe you can agree to have a party as long as your parents don't lie about your major or your career! gah jk
let's talk some more =)
I have been posting a lot lately, but not "poor kat", it's more like poor everyone! I feel stupid posting up unhappy stuff, but while it's not necessarily the most enjoyable thing to read, it's definitely given me a convenient place to think a little. :)
So, for the time being, please bear with me! :)
