passing time.
So today I had my guitar final and my guitar concert as well!I left work a little early so I could make sure I made it on time (so I have to go in earlier tomorrow), so there was no issue with that. The main issue, was that I was not ready for my final, haha. We were called individually into the auditorium to play this long exercise thingy, and needless to say, mine wasn't exactly perfect. :)
Some people had been practicing the piece for several weeks... I only practiced the night before. Sooooo... I wasn't awful, actually, but I definitely didn't do as well as I did when I practiced (I got super nervous!). Afterwards, my professor asked how long I had practiced since I normally do really well in class. Well... I told him the truth. >_< He was actually pretty surprised and said I did really well for only having practiced the night before, and if given a few days, I probably would have had it down pretty well. It actually wasn't too much of a bummer for me. I already knew what I had done and knew that it was my fault, but I felt bad for disappointing him.
A couple hours later we had our Guitar I recital. It was kinda cute, actually, and I was oddly reminded of my sister's first orchestra concert. But I will say, I think we were significantly more prepared than the other Guitar I class that performed! After the Guitar I classes, there was an ensemble performance, and several soloists. The majority of the audience left after the ensemble, and even more left after the first soloist (the solos were very long). I was really tempted to leave, I had quite a bit of things to finish, but I felt really bad for the soloists. I mean, there they were on stage displaying their hard work, and there was practically no one that wanted to stay. I think in the end, there were about 10 of us in the audience.
Soooo... here I am, editing dialogue, cutting sounds, packaging sounds and etc. for the presentation of the game my class has been working on. The lead of our project messaged me/called me asking for a particular dialogue sequence to be cut, and that went pretty smoothly. I've finished up a few things and am trying to submit it to subversion right now (just passing the time here) so that they can work on it. There are so many things I realize now that I should fix or add to the game, but I don't think there's enough time for that. I suppose this is what happens as you learn more.
Bah, this is taking waaay to long to transfer, so I'm off to the ATEC labs to deliver files.
Almost done!
