happy little bags.

I am a proud owner of multiple reusable grocery bags. In Dallas, I would often get funny glances when pulling them out of my purse in the check-out line, or sometimes, a confused glance by the cashier/bagger. This wasn't so much the case when I'd go to Asian groceries stores. Thankfully, the whole "bring your own bags!" thing caught on a little, and Target and even Walmart started to promote/sell bags.

Dallas is a little slow about this, but in Austin, I love seeing people bringing in their own bags. It's quite beautiful, really. Now for those of you that aren't too keen on the bag bringing, at the very least, it truly cuts down on the hassle of carrying a billion plastic grocery bags back into the house. That's right, you dare-devil! There will be no more of those one-trip, billion-bag carrying, plastic-cutting circulation missions from the car! This seems like a nice compromise, yes? And though sometimes it may seem like a hassle remembering to bring the bags, I think it's definitely worth it.

So... go invest in some bags!

I love love love my reusable bags. Little tip: wash them every once in a while. People are reporting bacteria growing in them b/c people don't know to wash them. Just a thought! :-)

I always want to bring my reusable bags, but they never get past the grocery store parking lot because I end up forgetting them in my car =(
