Lately, I've discovered a fond liking to baking.
Now I don't often bake, and when I do, I find myself using mixes and throwing that into the oven. I'm not sure what possessed me, but before my Dallas trip, I found myself with an odd urge to bake things from scratch. So... I did was was necessary, and baked 4 different kinds of cookies. A bit ambitious, huh? As a result, I ended up with a bajillion cookies.
Decorating, however, isn't my forte. :)
The other night, I baked honey whole wheat bread. I think it turned out rather nicely, and Eric liked it as well. Pretty cool, huh? I've made pumpkin and banana bread before, but this is the most time consuming I've made (wait for it to rise? and then rise again? and what- the directions want me to "punch" the bread?!). Overall, pretty successful!
I think today I'll bake some cookies... or some brownies.... or something. Anyone have any amazing recipes? :)

aw, Kat! I just had a flashback to our birthday cookies! We have MAD decorating skills! haha especially when we decorated the paper bags <3
