exhausted.
Just got home from fundraiser planning for tomorrow's silent auction. Pretty crazy actually, after my 5-something class, Julia and I arranged some of the items, went to the store to buy supplies, and spent the rest of the time arranging, pricing, and temporarily working in the dark (we had a tornado warning and the lights went out briefly). We're not quite done, but hopefully everything will go well. Bah, just kidding, it better go well. I really want to raise money for our organization!I also had a hectic day in my game production class. I got to do live recordings with some voice actors for the game that we're working on this semester. It was a bit tedious, to be honest, and was I surprised at how much I would pick up while monitoring via headphones while we were recording. Breathing, saliva, shifting, all of which I had people repeat their lines again, and again, and. . . again (the actors were good sports, so that was a nice). Well, that and so that I could get a different read on the lines :). Luckily, one of my classmates went and brought bottles of water for the actors (since I had them say their lines at least 3 times each so I could pick out the best). Definitely a learning experience, and I got to play around with a Fostex FR-2LE field recorder and a Rode NT3 mic in the sound booth. Quite lovely indeed. Anyways, we didn't quite finish, but I recorded for about 4 hours straight, and ended up with 2.56 GB of voice recordings. . . now it's all about editing. >_<
But now I want to get a little shut eye. I'm not quite sure if I'm supposed to be going in for part 2 of my interview tomorrow. . . if so, I don't have my music demo reel ready, so I need to get up early and figure that out. Then again, if I have to go in on Thursday, I'll have to figure something out with my work schedule. Hopefully, I'll hear back from them soon so I have a better idea about what to do.
In the meantime, hopefully some sleep! :)
