yum. saturdays!

Nothing too exciting today, really, so all pretty much went according to plan. I really wanted to take today off and relax, so I did just that (although there's always that awful nagging in the back of my mind that I need to be working).

A few errands here and there, but it was lovely nonetheless. I've also come to realize I like watching people in the mall. Not the kind of stalker-like watching, but the kind that appreciates movement. After a fruitless trip to find a gift for my sister, I found a young pianist performing, and situated myself against a comfy wall. I really love watching the flow of people.

I also realized that I had my lovely (new!) Edirol R-09HR field recorder in my purse. It's quite a lovely recorder, fairly small with decent internal mics (I'll have to write up a review later), so I figured it was seemed like a nice time to play a little. I ended up leaving the Edirol in my purse when I recorded, but the clip came out pretty well (though you can hear me shifting a little). I think mall ambiance is lovely. Unfortunately. . . I'm not sure how to add a sound file onto my blog (it only wants to let me upload videos), so. . . . I suppose you'll just have to settle for this picture, and make your own noise (or I suppose I could have made a video, haha).

Groceries were also purchased today, Josh and I ate out (and I received expired ranch dressing. . yeah, gross), my mini stand for the Edirol arrived, brownies were eaten, and lazy movie watching with the Errol apartment + Julia and Comet pretty much summed up my day.

Kinda crazy, but I feel a bit relaxed and stressed since I didn't do any work. :)
