eating frenzy!
This morning I ran a 3-mile event in Dallas. It was craaaazy! There were so many people walking, with strollers, dogs, and joggers, that I literally had to weave in and out of people, dodge children, jump onto elevated areas, and avoid pooing dogs! I'm quite proud of my knee! I jogged the whole event around 25-27 min. which may sound unimpressive, but I was quite please, since I don't exercise. >_< Anyways, it was pretty fun, and I felt like I was training for a mass chaos kind of thing where the crowd is all jumbled and you have to weave your way around. . . Regardless, my knee is a bit swollen and sore, but I've had worse. :)Later, I came home to work on tweaking a few sound files, playing Left 4 Dead with Eric (I'll have to write about that later), and eating before going home-home. . . to eat.
We had a small 2 family gathering with quite a bit of food. Kim, Derek, Mark, and I also got to poke at the theatre room upstairs, and they chose to watch The Strangers. The movie moved quite slow to me, and like many terror-ish movies, you wonder, "whyyyyyyyy? whyyyyyyyyy?". On the bright side, the main characters aren't completely helpless/clueless. . . but that's not saying much. A fairly simplistic movie in regards to locations, actors, and dialogue, which was an interesting choice. The sound design also had a few nice touches that really punched the reactions of Kristen (Liv Tyler). I was really intrigued by some of the filming choices. One thing that I particularly appreciated, was the emphasis on watching the characters and how things unfold, as opposed to a blood bath. Perhaps it was a symbolic choice so as to emphasize how "the strangers" were always watching? But yeah. . . mmmmmm, not a terrible movie, not great, not something I'd watch again.
The Strangers: 4.5/10
But yes, that was practically my day: eating, jogging/zombie apocalypse training, eating, zombie fighting, eating, movie, eating, blogging.
Uneventfully, full day (of food). :)
