Julia hurt her leg again. We were with a few friends, watching some dodgeball tournament going on, and they had just started a new round.
She picked up a ball, threw it, and collapsed.
I think it was from the way she rotated after throwing. She tore her ACL about 2 months ago, and is due for surgery this month. Needless to say, it is far from being healed.
I went to ask Patsu and his bboys in the adjacent room to help relocate her (Patsu-"Guys, we have a mission!"), while I took her car to the side of the building to pick her up (my car was at my apartment). I'm glad that they were able to help, I'm too short to support her properly. Watching her struggle up the stairs was terrible, and I felt like we were back two months again. I took her dog out for a walk (it's quite cold!!!), and had a heart to heart talk with him about the "no zone" (his owners reinjured leg). After propping her leg and icing it, I felt miserable. Clearly, she was in pain, and I wish I could have done more.
On the bright side (if there really is one), she was planning on competing in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Monday. I'd rather her injury be from this, than what could have been potentially worse on Monday. Still, though, an injury is an injury.
I hate seeing friends get hurt.
My fridge light was working again today, so it meant something amazing was going to happen. . .
