good luck, me!
So I went with Josh to visit one of the places that I had looked up for getting my nose pierced. Toting the long list that Karen created, I popped into this quaint tattoo/piercing shop and was greeted by a friendly woman. I decided to save her the pain, and just presented the list of questions. She was very thorough and patient in both her explanations and the questions, answering both in a professional, yet friendly manner. We discussed procedures, after-care, complications, etc. etc., and was shown her license. Overall, I had a very good impression of her and her shop. After 25 minutes of questions and discussions, I left with her business card in tow, and promptly called Karen. :)
Now, I need to leave my comfy apartment, and head home to give them the heads up. . .
Now I understand that ultimately, it's my decision, and that there really is no need to get "permission" from them. I want to say it's a culture issue, and a form of respect. . . though I'd like to say I still have intentions of getting it done regardless. . . >_< I want to at least give them a heads up, let them know that I understand the consequences, have done the research, and am responsible enough to maintain the piercing.
They're not going to be happy.
omg. Good luck, me!
>_<
