yum.
I think there might be too much on my plate lately, but I know all I can do is keep working.School projects, CGEC, FSA, and work like to eat chunks of my time. In a couple weeks, Julia and I are planning an FSA fundraiser to help bring down the cost of Goodphil for our members. Sort of impromptu, but we are hoping to have a silent auction / raffle on Feb. 11th. We figured that if we could get some businesses to donate a few things, we could easily play off of Valentine's Day. We came to our officer meeting fully prepared: we created a letter head and letter to give to our potential sponsors discussing our goal, what FSA is, the event, and etc, planned the date, location, and also picked out potential places for us to ask for donations. We also gave each officer a couple of the letters (in envelopes!) to use and a minimum amount of places that each officer should go to.
Thus far, Julia and I have been to 12 places, received/will receive something from 4 of the places, 4 "will contact you"s, 3 "the corporate cannot donate", and 1 "no". Not to shabby seeing as how Julia and I still have more place to go. I feel that regardless of who is managing/planning the effort, all of the officers should be working hard for their members.
Speaking of hard work, it bothers me when people don't step up to the plate. It's one thing not to be responsible when it only affects you directly, but I find it unacceptable to allow your irresponsibility to affect others. With that in mind, I know that I have to keep working, and try my best at all of these projects, ideas, jobs, and etc. that get thrown at me. I feel a bit worn out, but I'm holding up pretty well!
Saturday, Karen, Julia, Joanne, and I ventured out to H-Mart for some wonderfully fobby pictures! I really enjoy just being silly with them, so it was fabulous (not to mention I finally bought a new bag of rice and ate lots of chocolatey stuff at Yogurtland)!
And look at the amazing features our photobooth boasted!
Afterwards, we got to munch on food at Karen's house. All I can say is, hoorah for sinigang, steak, riiiiiice, ice cream, coffee, and MAMMOTH bread! :)
Gah, what wonderful friends! Definitely a wonderful break from work, work, work.

Hanging out this weekend was exciting but relaxing :)
Yeah, being an FSA officer can be so taxing at times. Hopefully, most of the time, the benefits outweigh the costs.
Mammoth bread??? I want some ;-)
