not really concise.
Ok! Well, quite a bit has happened in the past few days, so I'll try and be a little concise.Goodphil was Friday-Sunday. We did wonderful for being a small school, and I'm very proud of everyone! Our A-team for basketball did exceptionally well, advancing on Sunday. They had an awful lot of consecutive games on Sunday with only 2 guys on bench, so I was really surprised at how long they were able to hold out. They won 3 games Sunday and lost their 4th to UTA (I distinctly remember one point in the game in which UTA subbed their ENTIRE team). They had great games, too! When they played UH, they actually went into TRIPLE overtime. . . yes, it was intense. Their game against UT was also really intense and went into overtime. . . it was a really close game! I think that they placed 3rd?
The rest of the games were fun to watch, too. Football and softball got canceled because of the weather, and football actually got converted into dodgeball (on a whole different level than from gradeschool!). People had a great time playing, and of course, we had a wonderful time cheering. :)
As for other parts of our stay, I'm super super glad that we had our impromptu fundraiser! SOF and the Multicultral Center could not help pay for our hotel fee, so FSA paid for it with the convenient amount of money we had acquired (which was only a little over the total amount we earned). Unlike previous years, we did not collect money for the hotel fee from our members. Unfortunately, a few more people decided to stay with us, so the guys were particularly cramped in both rooms. Staying at the Holiday Inn was nice, and Julia was keen on getting a hotel which served breakfast (good job!). Speaking of food, we had way more food to feed our members this year, and practically not enough mouths to feed! So, props to the wonderful parents that helped us out!
On other news!
Today (Monday) was my first day at my internship! I get to come in again tomorrow, but afterwards, I won't be back until next Wed-Fri. (which will be my set schedule). And theeeeeen, Wednesday is Chicago! So, from Wed-Sun. we'll be braving the cold. Brrr! I'm also hoping I can somehow work on some of my stuff while in Chicago, but I'm not quite sure how that'll work. . .
Somehow tomorrow, I also need to allot time to do all of my laundry (so I can have some warm clothes!) and visit home before the trip. Well. . . that and clean my apartment. I really dislike leaving out of town and coming back to a messy place, ya know?
Anyways, I should probably sleep. :)
