Surprise!

I know I haven't blogged in a long while, but SURPRISE! I'm still alive!!!

It's been pretty busy on this end. Spring break was a handful, and I'll be sure to post a few Chicago pictures later. We did quite a lot there (and I don't feel like typing a novel), but two of my favorite places we went to were Second City and Hot Chocolate. The comedy show we watched at Second City was super fun, and we were actually dead center in the verrrrry front row. And when I say we were close, I mean we were so close, that I could tell if someone forgot to shave! Hot Chocolate has amaaaaazingly rich hot chocolate. Fantastically yummy, and it saddens me that hot chocolate will never be the same ;).

This week has been pretty busy. I also caught a cold. I had a bit of coughing in Chicago, but I think when we got back to Texas, my body got frustrated and practically yelled at the change of weather again. Sooo... Tuesday I was down with a fever and funny coughs. I took the day off from everything, so that was really helpful (but scary, b/c I knew there was quite a bit to do), and I'm feeling a lot better now. Technically, this was a fairly acceptable cold, really, not too much runny nose blah, sore-whatever, and awful congestion. I do feel like it took me a bit longer to actually improve (maybe I was too busy or not sleeping enough?), but now the only thing that really bothers me is when I want to laugh, sometimes I end up coughing, and my hearing sounds. . . kinda muffled. >_<

My internship is going pretty well, too. I hope that I can learn fast enough so that I can be useful to the team. It's also terribly interesting learning more about the game industry and audio as well. Today I had my first real assignment, so that was pretty exciting (and a little silly, huh?). I hope the course of my internship will be amazing. :)

Let's see. . . let's see. . . oh! My team's entry for the game competition is due next Friday. It's pretty scary, there are many things that need to be made/added. I hope that we can get everything together and be proud of our work when the time comes. I also need to make sure that I don't let them down and finish as many things as possible for audio/music. Crunch time is a bummer!

Well. . . I suppose that's all for now. I just need to get back into the habit of posting again. :)

Yes, you do need to get back into the habit of posting again!

I hope that you are feeling better now! It's not a good time to be sick when you are so busy with school, work, and the game project. =/

Chicago was super fun! I think that Second City and Hot Chocolate (minus the oversaturation of food--I blame Lemon!) were my favorites, too. Oh, and cocktails at the John Hancock Lounge! =)

Can you post your pictures on box.net when you get a chance? =)
