austin.
I had a nice trip to Austin this (last?) weekend.Friday night I left after work (I borrowed 'We Love Katamari,' too!), and drove through at least 8 rain storms. Crazy weather. . . At one point, after a stretch of no rain, the car in front of me braked to a sudden stop. I was a fair distance, but my tires were wet. I ended up skidding, and my tires squealed quite angrily- I was fairly certain I was going to hit them, and couldn't switch to the other lane. And despite all of that, I sat there realizing how I probably wouldn't be as scared had I not heard my tires. Sound is amazing, huh? How intrusive!
Well anyways, I actually didn't hit them (phew!), and we all carried along our merry way (though there was still no explanation for their random braking).
I eventually hit a pretty hard storm, but found it more interesting than dangerous. It's always amazing when you're in a particularly hard rain storm, and you have to depend on the car in front of you to tell where you are. The area was so dark, and the street lines were undefined. As drivers, we put so much trust in each other!
I made it in one piece to Austin, of course, and the rest of the weekend was pleasant (though there was still a bit of school work-ing). I was a bit surprised that Eric wasn't working on Saturday, and we made some chicken fried steak, went adventuring, and watched a bit of The Office (I still have yet to see the earlier seasons). It's a bummer that weekends go so quickly.
2712, the hills, and trees are really beautiful.
I'm looking forward to Austin.

Sad I didn't get to see you! I had work :( Ah well. There'll be plenty of Momoko next year!! That's a fact. Call me up when you move and I'll lend a hand.
Gracious, Kat! Thank goodness you didn't get into a car accident or you wouldn't have gotten to eat donuts this morning (or be in wonderful lab meeting! haha!)!
We should start watching the Office together! haha we can steal Nicolo's box sets
Have you decided that you are moving to Austin? =/ =) When?
Kris, I did not Momoko (sadness!), so we DEFINITELY have to next time. :)
Well, my lease ends in July, so I'll have to move somewhere afterwards! Most likely to Austin?
Oh, so if Gearbox offers you a job, you won't take it?
