empty fridges and swollen knees.

So despite my lack of religious belief, I went with my family to church for Easter mass.

The small church was pretty packed, and Kim and I had to stand in the corridor. Apparently, they changed the rules and don't allow you to pull up chairs anymore, so. . . wearing heels wasn't too fun. Now it's different if I'm walking around a bit, but to stand in heels for a long period of time makes my left knee very unhappy (especially with the rainy weather). I ventured off to the cafeteria-type area of the church to sit down and listen to the mass from there, but was told I could not stay in there . . even with my bad knee. . .

I passed time listening partially to the mass and watching a thick-eyebrowed 2 year old running around. His eyebrows were very, very intense, and was offset by his toothy grin. It was oddly cute.

Anyways, in the end, despite shifting weight occasionally, my left knee was a bit swollen by the end of mass.

On another note, my mom gave me food to take back to my apartment (omg, what a relief. . . I didn't have any food!!!), Kim left the milk out in my apartment, and I just ate the last Sprinkles cupcake that Kim and I bought yesterday. This weekend was pretty lovely, and my stomach is quite happy (this is the most I've eaten in a while, yum!). Now, it's time to prepare for another busy week.

You have a complete lack of enthusiasm for religion too? Awesome. I think the CCD holy cross/communion tic-tac-toe was for naught.

Post your Chicago pics! :D
